Susan is an artificial conversational agent that is programmed in mental health treatment with safety protocols for crisis interaction.  Susan is currently being programmed to also assist individuals with their insurance, local support groups, and aid in finding the appropriate human support group close to the individuals area.

Susan can help you with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, PTSD, substance abuse, relationship problems, stress management, and more.   The goal is to have Susan act as a resource for economically challenged communities and areas impacted by disasters.

Susan is currently programmed to speak in 28 different languages.  Susan is not only incorporating scientific models but has been developed with an understanding of empathy and nondenominational pastoral counseling techniques as well.  With the ability to assist in crisis response and aid by effectively listening, comprehending and responding.  The benefit will be especially crucial to low income or marginalized communities and in areas effected by disaster or conflict which will have an immediate impact on the ability to begin the road to help regardless of language, economical or cultural barriers.

Susan and the platform follows HIPAA requirements to protect privacy rights and Protected Health Information (PHI) from unauthorized disclosures.  Susan also uses Good Machine Learning Practices (GMLPs) which lines up with FDA guidelines for AI in Healthcare as well as Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
